From 23rd – 26th January we supported Roche Pharma AG's annual opening event at Europa Park in Rust. We set up the opening event in the Dome and the evening event in the Arena. In the Dome we implemented a total of three projections with Barco HD20 projectors – a Tandem projection (6.75 x 3.8m) and two external projections, each of which were controlled using an Encore control system. The latest d&b line array was installed for the sound. Moreover, around 35 workshops spread over the entire amusement park relied on our technical support during the course of the event. All rooms were equipped with projectors, sound and light technology as well as flip charts and metaplan boards. We laid 3.2 km of cable in total and installed approximately 400 spotlights.

We rose to the challenge of guaranteeing internal communication between all the trade groups across the entire park with a digital Motorola intercom system by attaching the antennae to the hotel roof which enabled instant communication by radio on six channels. This also meant we were always able to react directly to speaker requests. We totalled over 40 technicians and assistants on-site, including three technical managers who were responsible for coordinating each area (Dome, Arena and workshops). Their hard work made it possible for an event like this to be held and run smoothly on an area of land such as Rust Europa Park where trucks are not permitted to drive. All the equipment was transported beforehand from our warehouse in Sankt Augustin to the Rust Europa Park with a trailer (40 t) and three lorries (18 t), where it then had to be moved onto smaller vehicles.
